There are some exciting new developments in the study of how to maintain healthy brain function, including lifestyle steps and natural ingredients.

While age is the biggest factor in the decline of memory and mental function, and there is a small genetic component as well, there are things we can do to do in the natural to support mental function, memory and a healthy mind:

1. Exercise at least 30 minutes, 5 days a week
2. Prevent or control conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol (the same risk factors as those for heart disease)
3. Interact with others and stay active socially
4. Play stimulating brain games (crossword, computer, etc.) and learn new things
