Trans Fat and Breast Health

In addition to the known effects on your heart and your weight, trans fat may also be detrimental to your breast health. According to a study in the American Journal of Epidemiology, women with the lowest amount of trans fat in their blood had half the risk of developing breast cancer compared with those with the highest levels.

It is recommended that you have no more than two grams of trans fat a day. However, be aware that foods that have up to 1/2 gram per serving can still be labeled as "no trans fat" so it is possible you are getting more trans fat than you realize. Just one more reason to eat foods that are fresh, unprocessed, and without additives, as God gave them to us in nature.
